Summer camps have been part of American culture for over a century, every year millions of children leave their homes to enjoy a safe environment were they can practice all their favorite activities. To make this phenomenon happen young adults and experts are hired. Camps are located next to lakes, rivers, and mountains or outside of cities. Summer camps have a wide range of facilities and buildings. Indoor facilities may include cabins for sleeping, large well-equipped dining rooms and medical facilities. Outdoor areas include facilities for sports like soccer, baseball, tennis, ropes courses and swimming areas like pools and/or lakes. Every summer camp has their own traditions, but all are about building a community. Camp relies on role models: lots of children and their families are looking for a healthy, fun and most of all safe environment to spend their summers in.
